Method of Selection Procedure
The HPSSSB Driver selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of the Online Test/Written Examination and interview. The HPSSSB Driver Online Test/Written Examination will be conducted in English or Any Languages. All the eligible candidates who apply with the requisite fee and whose applications are received in time will be called for the Online test/ Written Examination, which will comprise the following.
The selection process will comprise of Online Test followed by personal interview of the candidates, who have qualified in the online test. The online test will be objective in nature. The details of the same are furnished hereunder.

HPSSSB Driver 2019 Solved Papers
The qualifying marks of 35% for General/ESM and 33% for SC/ST/OBC does not mean that all candidates who have scored 35% & 33% as the case may be will be called for next stage. The candidates for next stage will be called purely on the basis of their performance/marks scored in written examination and cut off marks (category wise) which will be fixed after completion of written examination.
Certificate Verification
In the HPSSSB Driver examination hall, the call letter along with the candidate’s currently valid photo identity, in original, such as PAN Card/Passport/Driving Licence/Voter’s Card with photograph/Photo identity proof issued on original letter head by a Gazzetted Officer/People’s Representative or Identity Card issued by a recognised college/ University (valid in current year)/Aadhar card with a photograph/ Employee ID, should be submitted to the invigilator for verification.
Note: The HPSSSB Driver candidate’s identity will be verified with respect to his/her details on the call letter and in the Attendance List. If identity of the candidate is in doubt the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the Online Examination.

Exam Board Overview
The Government of Himachal Pradesh in exercise of the powers conferred under article 162 read with proviso of Article 309 of the Constitution of India constituted the H.P. Staff Selection Commission with its headquarters at Hamirpur vide notification No. Per (AP.B) B (1)-1/98 dated 6th October 1998. The commission has been entrusted with the responsibility of making recommendations to all class-III services/posts including such posts on contract basis under the HP Govt. Besides this, the commission has also to make recommendations to all such class-III posts of the state public sector Undertakings, Boards, Corporations, Universities and Local Bodies, etc., as may be entrusted to the Board by such Boards/ Corporations/ Universities and Local Bodies etc. The commission receives various requisitions of Clerk, Junior Office Assistant, Senior Scale Stenographer, Junior Scale Stenographer, Steno Typist, Computer Operator and Data Operator from different departments or different state public sector Undertakings, Boards, Corporations, Universities and Local Bodies.
