OPSC Ayurvedic Medical Officer AMO Education Qualification 2019

Ayurvedic Medical Officer – A Bachelor’s Degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) or equivalent Degree from an University or Institution Recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine and he/she must have registered himself / herself under the Odisha State Council of Ayurvedic Medicines.

Homoeopathic Medical Officer – A Bachelor’s Degree in Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) or equivalent Degree from an University or Institution Recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine and he/she must have registered himself / herself under the Odisha State Council of Homoeopathic Medicines.

Method of Selection Procedure

The OPSC Ayurvedic Medical Officer AMO selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of the Online Test/Written Examination and interview. OPSC Ayurvedic Medical Officer AMO 2019 Exam Pattern

  • The written exam will be multiple choice objective types.
  • The written exam shall be of two papers (Paper-I & Paper-II).
  • Each question paper will contain 100 marks (100 questions of one mark each).
  •  The time duration foe each paper will be 01:30 hours (90 minutes).
  • There Will be a Negative Marking.
  •  The qualifying marks is 50% for UR & SEBC candidates and 45% for PH category and 40% for SC/ST.

QUALIFYING IN THE EXAMINATION

Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective test. The passing marks in each of the test will be decided by the Bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each test to a minimum required level.

Marks obtained in the Online test will be reckoned for shortlisting for interview. Accordingly, candidates will be called for interview. Depending upon the number of vacancies, only those candidates who rank sufficiently high in the Online test will be called for the interview in the ratio of 1:5. Mere eligibility/ pass in the test shall not vest any right for being called for interview. The list of candidates shortlisted for interview, will be made available on website.

Candidates Are Not Allowed To Carry Any Electronic/Mechanical Communication Device Including Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphone, Tablet Etc. Calculators, Books, Scale Or Drawing Instruments Are Not Allowed Inside The Examination Hall. The Commission Shall Not Be Responsible For Safe Custody Of Mobile Phones Etc.

And As Such Will Have No Liability In Case Of Loss Or Damage. No candidate shall be permitted to leave the Examination Hall until an hour has elapsed from the commencement of the examination nor during the last 30 minutes of the allotted time without submitting the Booklets.

Certificate Verification

In the OPSC Ayurvedic Medical Officer AMO examination hall, the call letter along with the candidate’s currently valid photo identity, in original, such as PAN Card/Passport/Driving Licence/Voter’s Card with photograph/Photo identity proof issued on original letter head by a Gazzetted Officer/People’s Representative or Identity Card issued by a recognised college/ University (valid in current year)/Aadhar card with a photograph/ Employee ID, should be submitted to the invigilator for verification.

Note: The OPSC Ayurvedic Medical Officer AMO candidate’s identity will be verified with respect to his/her details on the call letter and in the Attendance List. If identity of the candidate is in doubt the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the Online Examination.

Note: Entry in the Compound of the Examination Centre with Mobile/Cell Phones, Tablets, Laptop, Electronic Gadgets etc., is strictly prohibited. A Candidate who is found breaching the abovesaid direction or found to be indulging in ‘unfair practices’, viz. copying or misconduct during the course of examination, using electronic gadgets or Mobile Phones, etc., tampering with Question and/or Answer Paper, influencing any person concerned with the Elimination Test or Written Examination or Viva-voce Test, will be debarred from appearing for Preliminary Examination (Elimination Test) or Main Written Examination or Viva-voce Test, as the case may be, for that Examination Process or for any number of years or permanently.

About Exam Board

Recommendations of the Royal Commission on superior services in India, 1924, referred to in short, as the Lee Commission, and now they find place in the Constitution of India in Articles 315 to 323. The Odisha Public Service Commission was constituted on 1st April, 1949 after it’s bifurcation from the former Bihar and Odisha Joint Public Service Commission. At the time of creation of the Odisha Public Service Commission the strength of the Commission was three including Chairman . The strength increased to five in the year 1979 and further increased to six in the year 1996.

The Commission has acquired varied experiences and expertise in the matter of selection of personnel to various services of the Government of Odisha during its functioning for more than five decades. It has also gone a long way in achieving the purpose of drawing the best personnel for the public services of Odisha.
