Method of Selection Procedure

The Telangana High Court Civil Judge selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of the Online Test/Written Examination and interview. The Telangana High Court Civil Judge Online Test/Written Examination will be conducted in English or Any Languages. Syllabus / Subject

Written Examination consisting of the following three (3) papers will be held. (The object of written examination is to test the academic knowledge of the candidates.)

1. Civil Law,
2. Criminal Law and

English Translation test for 30 marks and Essay Writing test for 70 marks. (Translation has to be made from English language to either Hindi or Telugu language only and Essay Writing test will be on legal subjects only.)

QUALIFYING IN THE EXAMINATION

Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective test. The passing marks in each of the test will be decided by the Bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each test to a minimum required level.

Marks obtained in the Online test will be reckoned for shortlisting for interview. Accordingly, candidates will be called for interview. Depending upon the number of vacancies, only those candidates who rank sufficiently high in the Online test will be called for the interview in the ratio of 1:5. Mere eligibility/ pass in the test shall not vest any right for being called for interview. The list of candidates shortlisted for interview, will be made available on Bank’s website.

EXAMINATION CENTRES

Computer Based Test (Screening Test) will be held in the following Centres and candidates have to opt for any three (3) centres in the order of preference for their allotment. However, the High Court reserves the right to allot candidates to any centre other than the centre chosen by the applicant or to abolish/creat a new centre for administrative reasons. Request for change of the centre will not be entertained

Telangana High Court Civil Judge 2019 Test Pattern

For the purpose of short-listing the candidates, the High Court will conduct Screening Test (Computer Based Test) for 100 marks comprising of 100 multiple choice objective type Questions. The duration of examination will be two (2) hours. The Venue and Time will be mentioned in the Hall Ticket to be downloaded by the applicant at appropriate point of time.

The candidates who secure 40% and above marks in the screening test will be short listed in the ratio of 1: 10 of the available vacancies, for calling for a written examination. The marks obtained in the screening test shall not be added to the marks obtained in the written examination and they shall not be counted for determining final order of merit of the candidates, as the screening test is conducted for the purpose of short listing the candidates.

Certificate Verification

In the examination hall, the call letter along with the candidate’s currently valid photo identity, in original, such as PAN Card/Passport/Driving Licence/Voter’s Card with photograph/Photo identity proof issued on original letter head by a Gazzetted Officer/People’s Representative or Identity Card issued by a recognised college/ University (valid in current year)/Aadhar card with a photograph/ Employee ID, should be submitted to the invigilator for verification.

Note: The candidate’s identity will be verified with respect to his/her details on the call letter and in the Attendance List. If identity of the candidate is in doubt the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the Online Examination.

Note: Entry in the Compound of the Examination Centre with Mobile/Cell Phones, Tablets, Laptop, Electronic Gadgets etc., is strictly prohibited. A Candidate who is found breaching the abovesaid direction or found to be indulging in ‘unfair practices’, viz. copying or misconduct during the course of examination, using electronic gadgets or Mobile Phones, etc., tampering with Question and/or Answer Paper, influencing any person concerned with the Elimination Test or Written Examination or Viva-voce Test, will be debarred from appearing for Preliminary Examination (Elimination Test) or Main Written Examination or Viva-voce Test, as the case may be, for that Examination Process or for any number of years or permanently.

Viva-Voce

Viva-Voce, shall carry 50 marks. Any candidate who remains absent for the Viva-Voce for the post of Civil Judge shall be deemed to have been disqualified for selection. (The object of Viva-Voce is to assess the suitability of the candidate for the cadre by judging the mental alertness, knowledge of law, clear and logical exposition, balance of judgment, skills, attitude, ethics, power of assimilation, power of communication, character and intellectual depth and the like of the candidate.)

About Exam Board

Applications are invited through ONLINE for General Recruitment to 67 posts of Civil Judge in the Telangana State Judicial Service, comprising of 54 vacancies to be filled under Direct Recruitment, and 13 vacancies to be filled under Recruitment by Transfer. The application will be available in the official website of the High Court “hc.ts.nic.in” FROM 16.03.2019 to 15.04.2019. The Last date for submission of Online Application is 15.04.2019 up to 11.59 p.m. The Hand written/ Typed/Photostat copy/Printed Application Form will not be entertained either directly or by Post or by Courier or in person.
